What a great month December was! Our days were filled with holiday crafts and songs, our annual Holiday Programs, our Trim-a-Tree Parties, and a visit from jolly ol’ St. Nick himself!
The students had fun learning about holidays and celebrations around the world. The explored and experienced the different customs, food, music, and crafts that are used by people from different countries. They learned about Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Santa Lucia, and more!
Our Developmental 3, Pre-K, and VPK classes did a fabulous job performing in our annual Holiday Program! They donned their holiday attire and their smiles as they sang their little hearts out. Thank you to all of the parents who came and showed their support!
The Trim-a-Tree party was a huge success! Parents and family members came to make ornaments with their little ones and our tree was decked out with their creations! Thank you to all who participated and made our tree the prettiest one in town!
Santa Claus even took time out of his busy holiday schedule to visit the boys and girls at Wellington Academy! He even brought a special gift for every child. Although some of the littlest children were a little wary of Santa, most of them were eager to tell Santa what was on their wish list this year.
The Holidays are always fun at Wellington Academy. Thank you for all of your support in 2010. We look forward to another great year with your family in 2011!
